Hello!

Hello everyone! I attached some new pictures of Jayden. Not much new going on here. The weather has been beautiful. We are so happy to see grass, not snow. Jayden had her 15 month check up. She has moved into the 50th percentile for height and weight. Her head on the other hand is still in the top range on the scale. I guess she needs space to store all of her brains. This past weekend we had dinner at Hu Hot with our friends Drew and Katie Bateman. It was so nice to see them and we are so glad they will be back in Lincoln for good soon. The Bateman's are opening up an optometry practice here in Lincoln. So for all of you who wear glasses and contacts, and live in Lincoln, should pay a visit to Dr. Bateman.

Jayden is cutting some new teeth and has been chewing on her hand like crazy. She has also been a little high maintenance and crabby because her poor mouth is bothering her.

Jordyn, Jason's sister, tried out for Star Strutters this past week and made it. YEAH!! We practiced together this past week (memories, memories). We can't wait to see her perform this year. Way to carry on the Northeast pride!

Well, it's getting late. Everything here is great! We hope all is well with all of you!

Pictures of Jason for a Lincoln Plating presentation

Hello Everyone!

Hello! We hope all is well with everyone. I am bummed because spring break is coming to an end really quickly. I guess it's back to reality for me. Jayden and I had a GREAT time together. She is so much fun! We were able to sleep in some, make frequent trips to the mall and Target, pick Jason up for lunch, and meet some friends for lunch as well. The weather has been nice, finally, so we have been able to go on family walks in the evening again. Over spring break I came to love a new, but expensive, hobby. SCRAP BOOKING!!!!! I LOVE IT! I always said I would at least do a scrapbook along with a baby book for each of our children's first year of life. Now that I see how much fun it is I plan on also doing a yearly family scrapbook. My goal this summer is to work on scrap booking while Jayden naps. It is a great way for me to get some Erin time in during the day. Jason also took on a new hobby this week. He is now learning to play the harmonica. He has always wanted to know how to play and the other night he found a good deal on a new one on eBay. Jason has been printing off new music and has been practicing/performing for Jayden and I A LOT!!!! All kidding aside, he is pretty good and Jayden loves to hear it.

Jason is still loving his job. Jayden and I were able to meet a few of his co-workers this week when we picked him up for lunch. They seemed very nice and you could tell they already have a nice relationship. Jason has a lunch buddy, Jeff, who started the same day he did and has the same title for a different area of the plant. Jason's official title is Area Lead of Line 37. The vice president of PR for Lincoln Plating gave a presentation in California on building a talent based organization. He asked Jason if he would have some pictures taken of him in a Russ's grocery store wearing his Lincoln Plating uniform. The vice president of PR used his pictures/his real life example during the presentation. I attached the pictures so you could see them.

Last night we got together at a friends house and ordered pizza and hung out. It was nice to see everyone. It feels like we haven't done this in a long time. I attached some pictures of all the kids together.

Well, it is getting late and we have to get up early for church in the morning. Hope all is well with everyone! Enjoy the pictures and the nice weather.

Jayden getting ready for surgery

Jayden after surgery

Driving home from the hospital

Jayden's Surgery

Thank you to all for your prayers. The surgery went GREAT!! Jayden was so brave. We checked into the hospital at 8:00. They gave her some happy medicine and we talked with the nurse, doctor and anyone else involved in her surgery. They took her back to the operating room at 10:00. She reached out for the nurse and went on her way. We were so proud of her! I didn't even shed a tear, though at times I felt I was close. Jayden did such a nice job of going to the nurse that I felt at ease. If she would have been screaming and reaching out for me that would have been another story and I would have been screaming and reaching out for her also. The surgery took about 17 minutes. She was in recovery for about 20 more minutes and then they wheeled her back to her short stay room where Jason and I were during surgery and recovery. She looked so cute in that hospital crib. She was just laying there like a good girl, a little out of it. The nurses and doctors said she was one of the best patients they have ever had. They said it was like working with an adult. She listened to them and didn't even cry once. They were all talking about how sweet and cute she was. Of course her mom and Dad already knew that. She is really sleepy right now. She has been sleeping since we got home. We left the hospital at 12:00 and she fell asleep in the car right away. The doctor told us she could have light play today and should be back to herself tomorrow. We are so glad her little ears are going to feel much better. I posted some pictures from the surgery. We took a lot of pictures because she looked so cute. I plan on making a scrapbook page. Hope all is well with everyone.

Jayden's Tubes Update

Hello! We just got home from seeing Dr. Rapp (ear, nose, throat). He did in fact agree that Jayden needs tubes. The surgery is scheduled for Monday, March 12th. I am on spring break that week so this date will work our perfectly. Between now and after the procedure we have quite a few doctor appointments. Not only does Jayden have a pre operation physical exam with her doctor she will also have a post operation exam with Dr. Rapp. She also has her 15 month check up around the same time.

The procedure is very quick and has a very quick recovery time. We are happy they referred us because poor Jayden has had so many ear infections. Tubes are put in ears all the time and I know that, but putting her under for the first time worries us a little bit. Please keep Jayden in your prayers. We will let you know how the procedure went when it's all over.

Hope everyone is happy and healthy!
