Ashley is a college grad!

My sister Ashley graduated this past Saturday! Way to go Ashley! All of our grandparents were able to make the event. We are also excited because the grandparents are staying for Christmas! YEA! Ashley graduated with a degree in English from the University of Nebraska Lincoln. She is taking a semester off and then is returning to school to get her teaching degree/certificate. We are very proud of her accomplishments! We love you Ashley!

Baby Update!

Hello all! My last check up was on December 13th. This was also my glucose screening and as of now everything looks great! My belly measured in at 28 cm (which is still ahead of my week) and the baby's heartbeat was 140 BPM. Everything looks great! According to the books the baby is around 14 inches long and about 2 pounds. I am feeling great, just a little large and uncomfortable at times. We are getting very excited and can't wait to meet the new little one.

Santa Visit!

Hello! Today we took Jayden to Pfizer's Christmas party (for the kids). Papa used to take my sisters and I to the Santa Christmas party and now that we are all grown he gets to take his granddaughter. I was a little nervous about the whole thing because I had a feeling that Jayden would freak when she sat on Santa's lap. I had been talking to her about it all week. The entire way to the Children's Museum she was talking about sitting on Santa's lap and getting her picture taken. We also told her that Santa gives her a present if she sits nice for a picture. She was very excited until it was her turn to sit on his lap. As you can see from the picture below we were only able to snap one picture and I had to be in it. We never did make it on his lap. She still loves Santa, from a distance of course! Playing at the Children's Museum was fun. I don't know who had more fun, my dad or my daughter. Hope all is well with everyone! Birthday Celebrations at the Chambers' House!

Hello everyone. Wow, did we ever have a busy weekend! Jayden turned two on December 7th and Daddy turned 27 on December 8th. We took Jayden to Chuck E Cheese on her birthday and she opened her presents from us. On Saturday, Daddy's birthday, we had Jayden's pictures taken. We had a babysitter because my Christmas party was that evening. The party was cancelled due to the weather so Jason and I decided to go out and celebrate his birthday. We had a lot of fun! It is always nice to get out as husband and wife not mommy and daddy. On Sunday we had Jayden's big Elmo bash. The party was very nice. I was surprised that almost everyone was able to make it because the weather was a little yucky. We had a lot of fun and Jayden really got some neat things. Well, enjoy the birthday pictures! Belly pictures, 21 weeks (1/2 a week before the ultrasound)!

Baby Update!

Hello all! I hope this update finds you happy and healthy. We have been healthy for the most part. Poor Jayden did come down with bronchitis this week. I am just glad she is getting it over with before her birthday.

We had our ultrasound on November 15th. I was going to post the pictures a couple weeks ago, but Blogger was giving me fits when I was downloading the ultrasound pictures. So here they are. At out last appointment everything looked great! The baby has a nice strong heartbeat and I am gaining weight (it seems like a lot of it). My belly is getting rather large. I went in just this past Monday for a quick check up because I thought I possibly had an infection. Turned out I didn't which is great news. The nurse who was measuring and weighing me said my belly was on the larger side. My belly measured 26 cm and I am 23 weeks along. They say your belly should measure right at about the week you are on, so yes my belly is getting big and quick. I am feeling great. I'm tired toward the end of the day and it is getting to be a challenge to get Jayden in and out of the tub, car seat etc. We are getting very excited and can't wait to meet this little one and see Jayden's reaction to having a little one around. After Christmas we plan on putting up the crib. We hope this will help Jayden get used to having another person sharing her room with her. I will post pictures of their room when it is all done. It is so cute! Well, I will try and update everyone with Jayden's birthday party pictures in the near future. Take care!

P.S. We didn't find out the sex of the baby. We like the surprise in the delivery room. Jason is saying girl and I am saying boy (as of now).

My Uncle Russ has been asking for pictures of Jason's Suburban. So...here they are! If Jason were the one to post these pictures he would have been sure to have washed it first. Today, Jason, my dad, and Jason's dad have been building Jason's new shed. They have been working on it since 7:30 this morning and it is now 4:00. They have been working hard. We purchased the shed at the beginning of the summer and it has just been sitting in the garage. I am excited to get it out because I will be able to park my van in the garage now! YEAH!!!!
